The onboarding process in Pitago is designed to be fast, friendly, and personalized—giving users a warm welcome to the app while collecting just enough information to tailor their experience.
🎯 Goals of Onboarding
Create a friendly first impression.
Collect basic information to personalize and improve the app.
Introduce Pit, the app’s friendly mascot and math companion.
Understand the user’s age group and how they discovered Pitago.
🔹 Step 1: Welcome & Basic Info
Users are greeted with a cheerful introduction and asked for two things:
Name – used to personalize in-app dialogue and progress messages.
Email – optional, but recommended to save progress and allow access across devices.
Example prompt:
“Hey there! I’m Pit 🐾, your math guide. Let’s start with your name!”
🔹 Step 2: Meet Pit 🐾
After entering their name, the user is introduced to Pit, Pitago’s mascot.
Pit’s intro could sound like:
“Awesome to meet you, [Name]! I’m Pit, and I’ll be helping you learn math step by step. I’ve got fun games, cool challenges, and tips to make math easier!”
This step may include a small animation, Pit waving, or blinking to create engagement and trust.
🔹 Step 3: Age Range Selection
To adjust the difficulty and style of content, the user selects their age range from a list like:
10–11
12–13
14–15
16–17
This helps Pitago serve the most relevant topics and wording.
🔹 Step 4: How Did You Hear About Us?
To better understand how users find Pitago, the final step asks:
“Where did you hear about Pitago?”
Options might include:
From a friend
On social media
From school
App store
Other
This data helps you improve outreach and measure the impact of promotions.
